Product Care
THXSILK Silk Comforter Care Guide
Proper care is essential to preserve the loft and thermal properties of your long-strand silk filling.
- Use a Duvet Cover: Always use a duvet cover to protect the silk comforter. You only need to wash the cover, not the comforter itself.
- Air Regularly: To refresh the silk, hang the comforter in a shaded, well-ventilated area for a few hours.

Why Long-Strand Silk Matters
Uniform Warmth without Clumping
- Long-Strand: Fibers extend across the entire duvet, staying in place for a lifetime.
- Short-Strand: Fibers shift and bunch up after a few uses, creating cold spots.
Unparalleled Durability
- Long-Strand: High tensile strength; resists breaking even after years of use.
- Short-Strand: Brittle and fragile; loses loft and "cloud-like" feel quickly.
Superior Breathability
- Long-Strand: Layered by hand to create millions of tiny air pockets.
- Short-Strand: Dense and compressed, trapping heat rather than regulating it.
Each comforter is layered by hand in a cross-grid pattern. This traditional technique creates thousands of tiny air pockets for maximum loft and thermal regulation.
Rich in sericin protein, silk naturally repels dust mites, mold, and bacteria, creating a pure and safe sanctuary for sensitive skin.
Features a long side zipper, allowing you to touch and verify the premium 6A long-strand silk quality yourself.
Delicate handcrafted stitching keeps the filling evenly distributed while maintaining maximum breathability.
The Ultimate Sustainable Sleep Investment
In a world of disposable synthetics, a THXSILK comforter is a stand for quality. Crafted from renewable natural fibers and designed to last for decades, it is 100% biodegradable. Choosing silk is not just an investment in your sleep, but a commitment to a more sustainable, "slow-living" lifestyle.

A Full-Body Beauty Treatment While You Sleep
Silk is composed of 18 essential amino acids that mirror the natural proteins in human skin. As you sleep, our mulberry silk comforter helps maintain your skin’s hydration levels and promotes cell regeneration, turning your bed into a restorative sanctuary for your body's largest organ.

Silk Comforter Wisdom: Your Questions Answered
How do I choose the right weight for my climate?
We offer three weights: Summer (above 22°C/72°F), All-Season (15-22°C/59-72°F), and Winter (below 15°C/59°F). If you use AC year-round, All-Season is our most versatile recommendation.
Does the silk filling shift or clump over time?
No. Unlike short-fiber silk or down, THXSILK uses premium long-strand silk. We use a traditional hand-layering technique and precision stitching to ensure the filling stays perfectly even for decades.
Why does my new silk comforter have a faint scent?
A slight, natural "earthy" scent is a hallmark of 100% pure, untreated mulberry silk (from the sericin protein). This is not a chemical smell and will naturally dissipate after airing out for 24-48 hours.
Is a silk comforter really better for allergy sufferers?
Absolutely. Silk is naturally hypoallergenic and contains sericin, which repels dust mites, mold, and bacteria. It is the safest choice for sensitive skin and respiratory systems.
Can I machine wash the entire comforter?
We strongly advise against washing the silk core. To preserve its loft, always use a duvet cover and wash the cover only. For the comforter, simply air it in a shaded area periodically to refresh the fibers.
