22 Momme Mulberry Silk Duvet Covers & Sets

A duvet cover changes more than the color of the bed. It is the layer you pull close at night, straighten in the morning and make room for on wash day. Choose the 22 Momme cover alone, add matching zipper pillowcases, or bring in a fitted sheet for a coordinated bed. The insert is never included here, and the word “set” means something different on each product.

The Layer That Sets the Tone Before Bedtime

Long before the lights go out, the duvet cover shapes how the bedroom feels. It is the largest visible piece on the bed, the surface folded back during the evening and the layer pulled toward the shoulders at night. In 22 Momme silk, that surface has enough body to fall with a calmer, more settled drape.

We like that visual quiet, but appearance is only half the story. The cover also moves against pajamas, bare arms and hair. A smooth contact layer can make the transition into bed feel softer and less distracting. It does not create sleep by itself; it makes one part of the sleep environment feel considered.

Start with What Is Already in the Linen Closet

If your fitted sheet and pillowcases still work, the single duvet cover is the sensible order. If the pillows need to match, choose one of the cover-and-pillowcase sets. If several pieces are being replaced together, the complete bedding sets add a fitted sheet and either zipper cases or flange shams.

Buying more pieces is not automatically better value. Unused shams take up storage, and a fitted sheet with the wrong pocket depth does not become useful because its color matches. Make a quick list of what is staying on the bed, then choose the set that fills the gaps.

“Set” Is Not a Reliable Piece Count

Two products on this page pair a duvet cover with two zipper pillowcases. Four others also include a fitted sheet, but their pillow finish differs. The Premium Silk Bedding Collection adjusts pillowcase quantity for Twin versus larger sizes, while the complete sham sets use a different visual edge.

That is why every card needs a plain included-pieces line. Names such as Premium and Elegant can express a mood, but they should never replace the packing list. The duvet insert is sold separately across all seven products.

What 22 Momme Changes on a Large Surface

Twenty-two Momme feels fuller than our 19 Momme silk when spread across a duvet. The extra fabric weight gives the cover a more noticeable fall and makes it feel less airy when lifted. Compared with 25 Momme, it asks for less material weight across the whole top of the bed.

No chart can decide which sensation belongs in your room. People who prefer the lightest possible top layer may choose 19 Momme. Those who enjoy a denser sweep of fabric may look higher. The right weight is the one that still feels comfortable when you turn beneath it and manageable when you carry it wet.

Secure the Corners, Then Let the Silk Fall

The solo duvet cover currently lists four interior ties. The six set products list eight. Start at the corners, connect every available anchor to the insert, and only then close the invisible zipper. Using the full set of attachment points can reduce the amount of fill gathering toward one side.

Even eight ties cannot make incompatible dimensions behave perfectly. Compare the exact width and length of both pieces. If the insert lacks loops, do not knot ties tightly around delicate shell fabric. A smooth, even duvet is easier to settle under because there is less bunching to stop and correct during the night.

The Smooth Surface Supports Comfort, Not Miracles

Mulberry silk may create less coarse friction against skin and hair than a rougher cover. Some sleepers also appreciate its breathable feel when the insert already provides enough warmth. Across a full duvet, those qualities are present over more of the body than on a pillowcase alone.

We can speak confidently about the feel of the material and the construction in our products. We cannot promise uninterrupted sleep, a fixed body temperature or guaranteed changes to skin and hair. Rest depends on far more than one textile, but a well-fitted, smooth cover can remove a few physical annoyances from the night.

Wash-Day Space Belongs in the Buying Decision

A 22 Momme King cover is a large wet textile. Check machine capacity and drying space before choosing a full coordinated set. Follow each label, remove the insert, close zippers and wash pieces without sharp hardware. Use cold water, low agitation and a silk-safe cleanser whenever machine washing is permitted.

Air-dry out of direct sun and away from tumble heat. Support the cover while moving it so one seam is not taking the whole wet weight. The fitted sheet and pillowcases may need cleaning on a different schedule; matching color does not require one overloaded wash. Our silk care guide explains the shared method.

FAQs

Does a 22 Momme duvet cover set include the comforter?

No. Every product in this collection is sold without a duvet or comforter insert. The sets add pillowcases, a fitted sheet or pillow shams according to the product.

What is the difference between a duvet cover set and a complete bedding set?

The two cover sets contain a duvet cover and zipper pillowcases. The complete bedding sets also include a fitted sheet and use either zipper pillowcases or flange shams.

Are all 22 Momme sets the same number of pieces?

No. The included quantity can change by product and size. Read the packing list for the exact Twin, Full, Queen, King or Cal King configuration.

Will eight corner ties stop every duvet from shifting?

They provide more attachment points, but the insert also needs compatible loops and closely matched dimensions. Ties cannot fully correct an unsuitable size.

Is 22 Momme warmer than 19 Momme?

It has more fabric weight and a fuller hand, but sleeping warmth also depends on the insert, room, mattress, clothing and sleeper. Momme alone is not a temperature rating.
