That matters because silk is doing more than carrying the artwork. Its smooth surface creates less tugging as hair and skin move against the pillow, which may help limit morning frizz, tangles and temporary sleep creases. Wash printed silk in cold water on a delicate cycle, inside a mesh laundry bag, with a mild detergent made for silk. Avoid bleach, fabric softener and tumble drying. Air-dry away from direct sunlight, since strong sun can fade both the print and silk's natural luster. A cool iron on the reverse side can smooth the fabric when needed.
