It seems that more and more silk brands are appearing on the market. Customers have big questions about the purity of 100% natural silk when they want to buy it for their homes. Due to the competition between brands, many merchants have deliberately discredited our products. We take this opportunity to present detailed information about the THXSILK brand, as well as our logistics, after-sales service and other issues
Is Thxsilk real silk?
THXSILK is made from 100% Grade 6A Mulberry Silk. All THXSILK products are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.
Silk has long been considered the most luxurious of textile materials. Thanks to its naturalness, mulberry silk is renowned for its breathability, hypoallergenic properties and moisture retention.
How to distinguish real silk from fake silk?
Price
This is the easiest way to distinguish real silk from other real silks. Genuine quality silk is always relatively expensive.
Touch the silk
Smoothness! Feel the smoothness of it with your hands. Silk products are distinguished by their soft, waxy feel. When the product's surface is pressed, it produces a pulling sensation. If the product does not have this feel, it is not true silk.
Burning test
The burn test This is not a standard test carried out on silk! It is, however, a fairly definitive test. A strand of silk is drawn from the fabric's edge and lit with a match. This silk thread bundle burns slowly and emits a faint glow. It first curls into a ball and smells like burning human or bird hair. When you touch the ball after it has burned into a dark brown ball, it crumbles into powder. Finally, when it is removed from the flame, it immediately ceases to burn. The smell of burning silk should be similar to that of burning hair. (Both substances are primarily composed of fibrin - fibrin from silk and keratin from hair.)
When a synthetic fabric burns, it emits a burning plastic odor and drips, resulting in a black ball of residue (not ash) and black smoke. Even after the flame is extinguished, it will continue to burn.
THXSILK Quality
All THXSILK products are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified. The OEKO-TEX® standards 100 is developed and managed by the International OEKO-TEX® Association, a group of 16 textile research and test institutes in Europe and Japan, with representative agencies and contact offices in over 60 countries worldwide.
Products that pass the test in this system are allowed to carry a certification label that guarantees to the consumers that the product does not contain harmful substances at levels that can be dangerous to the human body. No matter beddings or sleepwears, most of Lilysilk's products own the OEKO certification and are safe and healthy for your skin. If in doubt, the certificate number can be entered on the official authorisation website and the results will produce details of the validity status, the relevant product category and the items covered by that certificate number. If validity needs to be verified, contact information for the relevant body will be displayed.
