After the horrible COVID-19 period, we get to know it's never been a more important time to ensure that the linen you use has protection against the harmful substance.
A recent video titled “10 Disgusting Things That Live in Your Bed” highlighted a few reasons why you should be sanitizing your bed: bed bugs, dust mites, mold. While you can put away the garlic-and-bile mix, as it’s unlikely you have MRSA in your bedroom, the mites are pretty ubiquitous.
And that doesn't even take into account the dead skin, drool, sweat, and pet dander that's also coalescing in your linens. And all of these may cause acne, hair loss, even allergies.
“People should wash their bed linen at least once a week, more frequently if they are sick or if they are caring for children, pregnant women, or the elderly,” Robin Bechanko, Senior Microbiologist at NSF International, tells Digital Trends.
“Certification means that NSF scientists have tested the sanitization cycle to ensure they effectively reduce harmful bacteria such as taphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa that can potentially build up in bed sheets if they go unwashed for a long period of time,” says Bechanko.
But in real life, it is difficult for people (especially women) to do so many laundries every week. Thus, many people start to concern about their "dirty" bed.
1/3 of our lifetime will be spent in bed. THXSILK knows the importance of a safe and comfortable bed linen. So we developed this Antibacterial silk comforter.
We all know silk filling has antibacterial properties. But the cotton shell does not, so we combine antibacterial fibers with cotton fibers.
On the one hand, this technology will protect people from bacterial during sleeping, on the other hand, this will free people from the tedious laundry.
